BEDROOM OILY STATION
As my oil stash has grown, some of my nooks have become a bit cluttered, so this morning I got inspired to create a fresh bedside oily space. Our night time routine is a ritual we do without fail, every night. I want this space to feel calm + peaceful, and to be honest it has felt the opposite for quite some time now. I searched my house high and low until I found something I could use as a wall shelf. Hiding in our garage was this funky wooden box that was perfectly imperfect. It was just waiting for me to transform it into something useful + beautiful.
Now that Ava is getting taller, she likes to get into more of my stuff, so I really wanted to get my oils up on my wall and off my nightstand. Now she has her own little shelf with her oil rollers, kidscents blends + diaper cream. The bottom shelf has all the oils we use in the diffuser at night. It's so nice having them all organized and easy to see.
I added a photo of my mom and few sentimental things to make this space feel more personal and homey. I have been feeling blah about our bedroom and was about to completely rearrange all the furniture b/c I was craving change, but this little shelfie fixed all my bedroom blues!
If you are curious about my night time oily routine, here you go... I like to diffuse a combo of Lavender, Cedarwood + Peace and Calming most nights. I roll Tranquil behind my ears and Rutavala on my toes. Most nights I use Ava's baby oil and mix a drop of Frankincense to massage onto my skin. I also love putting lotion on my hands in evenings, so I use the Coconut Lime Body Butter. I have a few rollers pre made for Ava as well, a sleepy time one with Gentle Baby and a tummy tamer one with Tummygize. And of course, my lavender chapstick. I cannot go to bed without chapstick.
I might be a little high maintenance at night, but this routine has helped our sleep tremendously! I have seen a huge difference in our quality of sleep since incorporating these babies. Ava loves to help me fill the diffuser every night too. She holds the lid while I fill it up!
